The short version

No accounts, no sign-ups and no passwords on this site.
No advertising, no tracking cookies and no analytics.
We never sell, rent or trade personal information.
Forms and donations are handled by the outside services named below.

Information this website collects

Server logs. Like nearly every website, our web server automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, your browser type and the referring page. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure. They are deleted automatically after about 14 days.

Your browser. This site does not set cookies. A few interactive features (such as the activity filters, the pledge checkbox and flip cards) run entirely in your browser and send nothing to us.

Information you choose to send us

Email. If you email us at 103k9estie@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and to handle your request (for example, a visit booking, a book donation or a gallery submission). Our email is provided by Google (Gmail).

Forms. Visit requests, K9 collector-card requests and feedback are submitted through Jotform. Information you enter there (such as your name, contact details, agency and photos of your K9) is collected by Jotform under Jotform’s privacy policy and shared with us so we can respond. K9 photos and details you send are used only to design your card, and published only with your permission.

Donations. Book donations are processed by Fund the First. We do not see or store your payment card details. See Fund the First’s own privacy policy on their site.

Children’s privacy

Estie’s Besties is designed for children and families, and we take children’s privacy seriously. This site does not ask children for personal information, and children cannot create accounts or post anything here.

We ask that children under 13 do not email us or use our forms themselves. A parent, guardian or teacher should contact us instead.
Artwork, letters or photos are featured in The Besties Gallery only with permission from a parent, guardian or teacher, and we do not publish a child’s full name, school or contact details alongside them.
If we learn that we have received personal information from a child under 13 without a parent’s or guardian’s consent, we will delete it.
Parents and guardians may ask us to review or delete any information or image of their child that we hold or display. Email 103k9estie@gmail.com and we will remove it promptly.

Photos from visits and events

Some pages show photos from school and community visits. If you, or your child, appear in a photo and would like it removed, email us and we will take it down.

Third-party services on this site

Some content comes from outside services that may receive your IP address and browser information when it loads:

Google Fonts: provides the site’s typefaces.
YouTube: videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and nothing loads from YouTube until you press play.
Links to other sites (Amazon, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Jotform, Fund the First, partner organizations): once you leave our site, that site’s own privacy policy applies.

How we protect information

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Information you email us is kept only as long as needed to respond to you or complete your request.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its effective date.
